HEy readers!
Today i want to be a little self-centered and talk about myself! So i hope you guys don't mind :P
Basically everyone has their own interests, be it secret or not, so i was thinking why not share my own interests or past interests then maybe you can get to know more about me!
1.
Games
I am actually quite the gamer, well at least i was before sec 4 life starting hitting me in the face. I love playing any sort of MMORPG, some of the games i obsessed over include: Dragon Nest, Maplestory, DC Universe Online, Neverwinter, Marvel Heroes Online and Dragonica JUST TO NAME A FEW ONLY. But i have to say the longest standing one is Dragon Nest. I've been crazy over it since my guild Onigiri migrated from Dragonica to Dragon Nest in 2011 when i was still considered foetus-stage-sec 1-warrick. Since then i've been playing it and i probably have about 20 characters in total(including those i've deleted due to max limit) but my most successful one has got to be my Soul Eater, CoolPotato whom is still in the process of being trained to fit the latest lvl 70 cap. She has been my main for quite a long time now and i like her because her skill set is based on ghostly-summonings and spirits and of course being Warrick, i'm very into that kinda thing. I am a very competitive PvP player and you can usually find me in the Westwood colosseum kicking some serious ass. I'm currently a Knight-Lieutenant and aiming towards a silver-coloured rank symbol :D:D

2.
Anime
Okay this kinda started back in 2012 RIGHT before my end-of-year exams for sec 2, i started watching Naruto since episode uno and i've been hooked ever since. My passion for Naruto kinda dwindled right before the Fourth Shinobi World War started in the anime but it is mainly because i had no time to watch it anymore. Then during the June holidays last year my friend got me to watch Sword Art Online and OMG THE FEEEEEELS. All of a sudden something in me clicked and i started diving into the world of romance animes and novels. Novels came in later but during that period of time i watched lots of romance animes, however one odd-romance anime gave me so much feels i couldn't get over it for like 2-3 months and it is... ANOHANA. The full name of the anime is Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day (あの日見た花の名前を僕達はまだ知らない). Okay a lot of my friends never ever understood me whenever i would almost burst into tears talking about the anime but like Romeo and Juliet, you will never understand me unless you watch it yourself. I did manage to get a friend to watch it though and we would almost cry just talking about the tragedy that is anohana. If you wanna check it out, just type anohana in the google search box and find it, it has about only 11 episode and be prepared for one hell of a feels ride.
3.
Books
Call me a nerd, geek whatever i don't really care. Books are just awesome, especially trilogies like The Hunger Games and Divergent as they have fandoms. So if you don't know i am a Tribute and Initiate, and if you don't know what that means you seriously need to re-evaluate your life goals and choices. I got hooked on books since the December holidays last year when i had to do an English-reading assignment and the moment i started i just couldn't stop. Let me just tell you the order of books i read:
Have A Little Faith - Mitch Albom
The Hunger Games - Suzanne Collins
Catching Fire - Suzanne Collins
Mockingjay - Suzanne Collins
Looking For Alaska - John Green
The Fault In Our Stars - John Green
Divergent - Veronica Roth
Insurgent - Veronica Roth
Allegiant - Veronica Roth
The First Phone Call From Heaven - Mitch Albom(Currently reading)
and i still have loads of books in my shelf waiting to be read by me. During the holidays i also sorta became a book-shopaholic like i couldn't not buy a book whenever i went out. In other news, reading helps improve your English: Reading, Writing and sometimes even Speaking! So i guess it's always a plus to have a book with you! The coolest thing is that my English teacher loves to read and he even donated a whole bookshelf-worth of books to put in my classroom with epic authors, though they may not be very modern :/ It's like a sign isn't it? God wants me to read. OkAy.
4.
English, English Literature and HumanitiesNow if you know me in real life, you know i hate math and science with a passion to the point where i just want to throw them away permanently. This makes the only academic subjects i like English, English Literature, History and Social Studies. I call them the "story subjects". Idk why but i find these are the only subjects whereby you don't need to memorise crazy formulas that i don't want to even know like what is the damn point of knowing the formula of a graph or memorising what are Reducing agents and Oxidising agents?!?! I want to know about societies, art forms, plays, speaking, things that interest me. Because of this fact, they are the only subjects i managed to clinch As for in my EOYs, and the rest flopped. I guess i'm more of an "Arts" person like what people say, it apparently isn't very normal for a guy to be an "Arts" person but then again, why not?!?! My love for reading, English and Literature are sort of intertwined in a very odd way, like whenever i read a book, i look at the themes, what the heck this book is trying to tell me, the messages etc. History and Social Studies are the more factual stories per se, they tell us what happened in the past or what is happening now with only a dash of statistics and a hint of dates to remember. So if i do go to a Junior College after i graduate these subjects are a definite must for me to study!! :D
I DEFINITELY have more interests than just these 4 but i'm afraid they are too explicit for an open blog like this HAHAHAH.
Ps. JIAYOUS TO ALL THE BP JUNIORS YOU CAN ACE THIS COMMON TEST 1!!!!??!
Till next time.
Who Am I

RnJ FEEEEEEELS
HEy readers!
So I was supposed to blog about this the moment I got home that day but I was damn shag and I still had essays to write. BUT now I am fReE because my Chemistry teacher was involved in staff recreation today so we didn’t have to stay back for 3 hours doing mindless corrections!! –partehhh – Today was my Physics SPA too though, in case you don’t know, SPA stands for Science Practical Assessment and its basically an ‘O’-Level exam whereby you are tested on experiment techniques and how you present data and all that science-y stuff! It can be quite fun but it’s not considering the fact that you have only an hour to do it plus you have a pair of eyes staring right at you, just waiting to catch you making an experiment-error. And I really did not want to screw this up(as if I hadn’t screwed up my life enough this past week) so I really tried hard and I am glad I finished it in time!OKAY! Back to topic. On Sunday, the JhMtYtWt Clan plus two of my classmates went to watch a play at the NLB Bugis Library Drama Centre. Let me just tell you how the entire library just took my breath away. It is practically the size of an office building, it has escalators that bring you to various floors, and even a cool lift with glass windows. It is so big they even have a theatre inside of it, and that was where I witnessed one of the most epic plays ever – Romeo and Juliet. I know what you’re thinking, “aiya play waste money only, can buy 28394571205 plates of chicken rice sua la” or “ewwww Romeo and Juliet is the most lamest ass love story everrr, like gurl puhlease” and to that I say to all you peasants out there:

The play that i watched completely changed my perspective of Romeo and Juliet as a play. I actually understood why it was so popular during its time and why Shakespeare is indeed a master of playwrights. It is incredibly hard to explain why but its like something came over me and i just obtained RNJ FEELS . You can never really comprehend something unless you see it yourself, being in a theatre is a whole new experience as compared to watching it with your class on the projector screen during Literature lessons. In short, you will never understand me unless you go and watch it yourself . It also sort of inspired me to maybe be more involved in the arts in the future, idk it just seems really cool to be part of such productions truly! It is really sad though that people find it a waste of money to go and watch performances put up :[ . I also read a news article today about an ITE girl who is becoming a well-renown actress in the performing arts scene in Singapore, really cool and it made me wonder if she could do it, why not me?? :D To be completely honest i would have joined my school's drama club if i had known that it existed before i was secondary 3, and would i have tried out for theatre at SOTA if i had known about it when i was a foetus? why not?? Not saying i regret the ignorance, just saying... what IF.
So what made this play so unique you might ask? Firstly the play has a yacht setting, even the stage is designed in the shape of a boat of sorts. All the actors on stage wore pure white clothing that suited to very tropical-vacation-cruiseship-feel of the entire play. Not to mention that they made the play into a musical by transforming the famous speeches within the play (ie. The Balcony Scene, Queen Mab, Benvolio's speech) into amazing songs! Really talented singers i have to say. My friend couldn't stop spazzing about the actor who played Romeo though, you have to admit, he did look a little like Zayn Malik. They turned every chorus into majestic pieces that involved everyone on stage to sing a part here or a part there. They even made Nurse do taichi and do the "Capulet handshake" all while keeping in line with her character(I cracked up so hard i couldn't even). I can't give reviews or anything because it actually was the first play i've ever been to, but imho... it was GREEAAT!
If you guys are interested in knowing more about the play, it is a Toy Factory Singapore production and you should check them out i guess! I like their company name, so cute haha.
In other news, i have been chosen to do something for my form teacher who is a British man. He teaches English and Lit so i was thinking WHY NOT A POEM?!?! So if thats the case i won't be coming up with #RPOTD3 as it would probably be directed straight to him haha.
Till next time :]

Social Medi@
HEy readers!
Recently my life has been great! Though a bit busy i have to say it's not bad, just that i've been staying back in school for Physics SPA training to the point where it has been detrimental to my eyesight. And that is not good considering the fact that my father is a hardcore Anti-Spectacles protestor and i really don't want to get on his bad side regarding that :[
However one day my fencing junior (somebodee with the initials CM) came up to me and said "Hey warrick, nice tumblr you got there -datpedosmile-" and i freaking panicked.
Now the only thing going through my head is how my juniors are going to judge me for my tumblr, like if he knows then practically everybody else knows!! I have to admit my tumblr is kinda -ahem- BUT it is ACCEPTABLE. I don't know if you know this but tumblr is probably the only social media site that is not stomp-able, due to its random nature. I mean literally you could scroll down on your phone looking at beautiful scenic nature pictures and architecture and all of a sudden a porn gif pops out and just interrupts you and it will probably cause you to stare at it for like 5 seconds just to take it all in(THE SHOCK) then continue scrolling. Tumblr is that epic and that is probably why it is sort of taboo for those very "attas" aunties and uncles to get on tumblr. Anyway if any vigilante-ish adult finds out about tumblr they would probably freak out haha.
Social media in general is a place where people can be weird and not be judged by public eyes. Simply because the people who love to stomp other people(aka attas aunties and uncles) probably don't have a social networking account[besides facebook tho because that has officially been overrun and taken over by the adult world]. Except for a few of them who manage to break this barrier and make a twitter account with something cliché like "@LeeHockLay64" or "@TanHaoHua68", or even "@lcl_81". This causes people to have dual personalities: an online one and an offline one. I know of people who are super quiet in real life and very insecure but online... WHOA. You see a completely different side of them and you sometimes question if they are even the same person or not. This is what social media provides, a safe haven for people to either be crazy or be who they truly are! Cool ain't it?
Speaking of facebook,it just reminded me of my embarrassing facebook phase which i believe most Singaporeans kid experienced back in the 2010 period before twitter was big. Omg was i a complete mess, just have a sneak peek:

yes this is a legit post from my 11-year-old self. Notice How I Typed Like This, I Don't Know It Just Felt Right Typing Like That I'm Sorry If It Annoyed Any Of You Guys Who Knew Me Back Then D:I tried changing my name to lame stuff like "Warrick Grassydudez" or "Warrick Jubeaterz", DONT JUDGE ME THAT WAS MY PAST YOU KNOW ME AND NOT MY STORY K. Oh! I also recall how i was crazy over pet society and i tried to make my pet look badass like this!! -->
Then after that twitter took over and hurricane messedupfoetusstage abated and there was perpetual peace in that aspect of my life. I (hopefully) became less lame and, fast forward 4 years i am here talking about how my life is ruined now that my junior knows my tumblr?!?! Also i forgot to mention that there are some people out there who i classify as "wallflower stalkers" who literally have only less than 10 tweets even after joining for a year. START TWEETING!!!!!
In short, social media -- it can either make people think you are WeIRD or like nORMal. Either way the internet still welcomes you with open arms because we are ultimately all like that :D

#RPOTD 2
HEy readers!
As you all know i am quite the avid reader and recently i've been diving into the Divergent book trilogy. The book is a dystopian novel and has a female protagonist with a major ladle full of raunchy romance in it. One of the big themes within the book series is Courage. And since i wanted to blog about something, why not come up with another poem, so here it is. Random Poem Of The Day #2, hope you guys like it!
Dauntless
It is built with
Small remnants
Cloudy essences of thought
Should i do it?
Or should i not.
It rusts in the
Acid air
Amid the chide of voices
Is it worth it?
Or is it not.
But
Let your heart be the pilot
Ride this rocky plane
Make the roar of the engine
Resonate
Within your own
Take it up
To places unknown
Turn a deaf ear to them, because who can
Hear them talking, in this silent noise
Follow your soul
Do what you're told
Be brave
Be dauntless.

CHINEEESE NEW YEAR!
HEy readers!
So these past few days have been amazing! Simply because it is the CHINESE NEW YEAR!! Since i AM a Chinese, i went around visiting relatives, gambling small amounts of money and also having loads of fun!
It started out with the CNY celebrations at my school. It was going to be the last cny celebration in which my batch of schoolmates would be experiencing because we will be graduating this year :(. Thus, with the help of a few people, managed to convince my classmates to put up a performance in celebration of our last year together!! So we ended up re-enacting the Chinese Zodiac story and i played the Goat, and i have to say "Maaaahhhh"-ing is quite a fun thing to do, i might just make a living out of it :D After which, we went for operation orange and gave oranges to the residents. THEN WE WENT FOR PHYSICS SPA PRACTICE HOORAY RIGHT?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Our physics teacher just HAD to hold us back for cny and i at first i was pissed but then the SPA she made us do wasn't that hard, in fact i pray that experiment will be the actual SPA -PRAYS VERY HARD-
After that i went to my maternal relative's house for eve celebration which was okay because i actually managed to catch up on my Allegiant book which i was damn bent on finishing, i am HOWEVER still not done with it.
The next day, i went back to the same place and played a little bit of space jam on the old PS1 which my cousin donated to my grandma ages ago and it really brought back memories of the days whereby i would go visit my grandmother every Sunday and do random stuff with my maternal cousins. (ie. playing pretend as digimon, playing games on the PS1, running around the park downstairs), all of which we kinda outgrew and now that i'm sec 4 i don't really have the time to go EVERY sunday :[[[
Then i went to my paternal relative's side which imo is the more fun one because i have more cousins there and we ALWAYS gamble during cny!! This year i sorta learnt how to play mahjong(which is a Tan family tradition that i as a grandson, have the duty to pass down) and yea i played mahjong with my cousins! We bet money of course and the moment my brother raised the stakes, i kept winning and even got a "zi muo" which = $$$$$$$$$!!! I also learnt a few card games such as "In-Between" which i later got my friends hooked onto as well haha. After gambling for about 7 hours, we went for a midnight movie!!! We were intending to watch a hong kong movie known as "From Vegas to Macau" BUT my cousin accidentally booked the 12.30 PM tickets instead of the 12.30 AM tickets so we didn't actually managed to watch it. After arguing with the manager for about 5 mins regarding the poor listening skills the counter-person had when my cousin booked the tickets(my cousin kept stressing on the 'LATEST 12 O'CLOCK SHOW' aka midnight), the manager conceded defeat and offered A FULL FREAKING REFUND(CAN I GET A HELLA YEAAAAAA) and gave us FREE(YEAAAAA) tickets to watch I, Frankenstein which was showing about 20 mins later. I have to praise my cousin Julyn, because she actually convinced me that she was genuinely pissed at the ticker-incident but in reality she just wanted the refund hahahaha.
The entire theater was empty except for a few couples so my brother took the opportunity to take a photo in an empty theater :P The movie was awesome because it had a really fantasy-religious-theme behind it with the Gargoyles VS Demon thing, which i absolutely love in anything and everything. After that we took a few photos around the empty mall and we were driven home hehe.
The next day i went visiting other relatives which is kinda awkward because they are in the same generation as my grandparents, so i really just smiled and waved the whole time and watched television. Cool thing is the ang paos though, old people always tend to be more generous with their ang paos which is always a very sweet plus!!
Sunday was supposed to be my slack day but i was invited to a steamboat dinner at my friends house. No regrets though. I did however, forgot to bring oranges to give to her parents which was kinda embarrassing because everybody else did bring some except for me and Jonathan.Dang it!! Her parents were really nice, her father even went out to get us more salmon. What was really interesting though was her pet parrot which i swear i am obsessed. He kept pecking at my finger and whenever i put my hand near it to let it walk onto my hand, it would just bow its head which indicated that it wanted to be caressed by me . Talk about a greedy parrot DDD: It was still adorable la, i really want a pet now ahhhh. Also i got my friends hooked onto playing a gambling card game known as "In-Between" and we played that with peanuts for like 40 minutes straight and Wei Jie was a greedy-ass trying to bend the rules ahhaha but i still had more peanuts in the end hoho ^/^.
Today i went to play frisbee with a couple of friends and i have to say it was incredibly fun, even though my right thumb became swollen in the end( :[ ) i still learnt quite a bit and improved my skills muahhaha.
In short, Chinese New Year was the time i had fun and spent time with friends and family! I hope everyone had fun this 5-day holiday because Science SPAs are coming up in the following weeks :[ GOOD LUCK EVERYBODEE!
